Posted in General

The New River Line and Hoddesdon Model Railway club are bringing you an exciting event to celebrate Railway 200 on Sunday May 25th.  Arrive between 10am and 2pm at one of our five stations, Hertford East, Ware, St Margarets, Rye House and Broxbourne and pick up a free Activity Guide and Colouring Book. Head up and down the Line to explore the area, guided walks and ideas are to be found in your Activity Book. Walk between and around one of our stations, visit an independent cafe, enjoy a tasty meal at one of the many restaurants and pubs found in the towns and villages along the Line.

During your day of adventure visit the Hoddesdon Model Railway Club which will be open from 10am to 4pm, be prepared to be amazed by their range of model trains and layouts. With sit-on trains, railway themed stalls and history exhibitions there will be lots to entertain the whole family. The club is only open to the public a couple of times a year so this is your chance to see what is beyond the gate. The club is a short walk from Broxbourne Station. Find out more details on their website

Excitingly we can offer the first 100 passengers that want to explore the line free travel between Hertford East and Broxbourne, look out for the New River Line volunteers at each station. All others will need to purchase a ticket or tap in and out.
